The Healers Café

Hi, it's Manon Bolliger (facilitator and retired naturopath with 30+ years of practice) and I want to welcome you to the Healers Cafe. I am so excited to be doing this series of interviews and what I'll be doing is, is asking all kinds of healthcare practitioners, doctors, healers of all types, to really share with all of you their experience, why they became healers, what called them what they think about this being a healer thing. Is it, a thing? Who's really healing in this, what they've experienced from their their interaction with clients and patients and what the takeaways and understanding of what the process of healing is all about and the process of life. So that's the essence of what I'm doing. I'm hoping that this will serve also for patients that have issues and are looking for different ways of approaching it. * De-Registered, revoked & retired after 30+ years of practice. Now resourceful & resolved to share with you all the tools to take care of your health & vitality!

In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger, FCAH, RBHT (facilitator and retired naturopath with 30+ years of practice) chats with Russell Sturgess, about healing with Bowen through the fascia, the skin of the soul.

For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/russell-sturgess

Highlights from today's episode include:

Russell Sturgess

I like to use the analogy of the blue sky, our blue sky is our soul. It's blue. And it's like that all the time, you know. But what we have is all of these clouds of human filters that come over. And sometimes those clouds are storm clouds with lightning and thunder, and it covers up the blue sky.

Manon Bolliger

Because the force of healing is so strong, that if you're attuned and listening and seeing it, you can't go wrong. I mean, you're part of this circuit. (to learn more about how to LISTEN to your body go to YourBodyMindReboot.com

Russell Sturgess

So, the journey, and in fact, the journey is a very simple one, all you got to do is step back and become the observer. And in fact, this is one of the primary skills that anyone in healing absolutely must possess is the ability to step back and be the observer of themselves, and of other people.

ABOUT RUSSELL STURGESS:

Russell Sturgess has been described as a thought leader in Western Mindfulness. He was first exposed to the principles of awareness and mindfulness in the late eighties when providence led him to study Attitudinal Healing with Dr Gerald Jampolsky M.D. in Tiburon Ca. and Susan Trout in Washington D.C. Russell established a Centre for Attitudinal Studies in his home town in 1989 and alongside his clinical work in Osteopathic Remedial Therapies, he taught awareness and mindfulness practices for over a decade. As the adage goes, you teach what you have to learn.

While studying Attitudinal Healing with Susan Trout, Russell's interest in symbology was ignited. One book that really caught his interest was Sallie Nichols' book Jung and Tarot. The revelation that the trump cards of the Marseille Tarot had a symbolic link to Christianity became an exciting prospect. This was in spite of the fact that in the religion of his upbringing, tarot was thought to be evil. Over the next decade Russell pursued an enhanced appreciation of the symbolism enmeshed in the Marseille Tarot and was inspired to write a book, given the insights he had gleaned during that time. One of the key insights was the idea that the major arcana were obstensibly 'portable stain-glass windows' that taught how it was possible to have mindfulness create a love-centred life that was sustainable.

So, I now am at ease with the loss of my friend, life will go on or whatever, you know, something like this. And then I get them to breathe slowly and start really reconnecting to, it's okay, you can talk to him in spirit, or still write him a letter or whatever you need to do. Because if you didn't get to say goodbye, that letter is kind of important.

In this episode of The Healers Café, Manon Bolliger, FCAH, RBHT (facilitator and retired naturopath with 30+ years of practice) chats with Dr. Marc Cohen, about the healing properties of honey and vinegar called Kombucha.

For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/dr-marc-cohen-phd

Highlights from today's episode include:

Dr Marc Cohen, PhD

you can put honey and vinegar together and make oxymels, which are naturopathic form of medicine. They're incredibly delicious, you get the sourness from the vinegar and the sweetness from the honey. And they're incredible medicines, and they're available to anybody, you can even make them at home.

Dr Marc Cohen, PhD

There's no other modern wound dressing that is superior to Manuka Honey, just straight on the skin straight from the beehive to your skin to your wound, you can put it straight on an open wound and non-healing wounds and, and also for acne and other skin conditions because it's highly antimicrobial, but it actually destroys the pathogens.

Dr Marc Cohen, PhD

As long as you go to your local beekeeper go its raw honey, apple cider vinegar, you can make at home. Kombucha vinegar. It’s actually easier to make, and most people don't know about kombucha vinegar, but it's more potent than apple cider vinegar, or balsamic or grape vinegar.

Highlights from today's episode include:

Dr. Mary Sanders  14:13

Because you and I are all about empowerment, how can we heal ourselves as opposed to the disempowerment of handing over that energy to somebody else's responsibility? Right, so that's my that's my honor, as a medical intuitive, that's what I got to do these days.

Dr. Mary Sanders  33:47

So, clinicians, if you're listening to me, and you're like, Oh, well, you mean that that patient that I'm treating for elbow pain, might be having issues with their neck in relation to their expression. That's exactly what I'm saying.

Dr. Mary Sanders  42:17

I know I have to create the environment for individuals to come back into self and again, through their self-do the regulation to increase their levels of consciousness, in order to hold space for all that is happening within this world.
