The Healers Café

Hi, it's Manon Bolliger (facilitator and retired naturopath with 30+ years of practice) and I want to welcome you to the Healers Cafe. I am so excited to be doing this series of interviews and what I'll be doing is, is asking all kinds of healthcare practitioners, doctors, healers of all types, to really share with all of you their experience, why they became healers, what called them what they think about this being a healer thing. Is it, a thing? Who's really healing in this, what they've experienced from their their interaction with clients and patients and what the takeaways and understanding of what the process of healing is all about and the process of life. So that's the essence of what I'm doing. I'm hoping that this will serve also for patients that have issues and are looking for different ways of approaching it. * De-Registered, revoked & retired after 30+ years of practice. Now resourceful & resolved to share with you all the tools to take care of your health & vitality!

Dr. Clinton

I mean, especially autoimmunity. I think the last study that I read, which is several years old, showed that 70% of autoimmune conditions are correlated with early life trauma. And so that's really outstanding. And so, from there, as soon as I was able to kind of piece those pieces back together physical health, and then piece the pieces together of how our mind affects our body. That's when I really started to regain that health or even more health than I had before, and my patients got healthier.

Dr. Clinton

So, your body isn't attacking you, it's not deceiving you, it's not broken, it's reacting to signals that you are getting from your environment, whether that's diet, stress, you know, the list goes on and, on our toxin, load our relationship with nature, our connection, and community, and whether that's healthy and safe, or not safe and dangerous, all of those things have a tremendous impact.

Dr. Clinton

But it's longing to be in this connection that we no longer have in our world, whether it's with our food, whether it's with our communities, whether it's with ourselves, whether it's with nature, those relationships are no longer intact in our modern-day life. And so, creating that foundation of physical health, that gives patients a quality of life, then they have the energy and the motivation to really rekindle those relationships with nature, with community, with family, with themselves with their internal dialogue with their own perceptions of stress and response to stress.

In this episode of The Healers Café, Dr. Manon Bolliger, ND, chats with Dr. Krishna Bhatta, an American urologist, author, and inventor, and an expert in the study of intermittent silence, mediation, and Gita

Highlights from today's episode include:

Dr. Krishna Bhatta  12:05

I did a big surgery and patient was in ICU, and everything appeared to be good. And something tells me at midnight, wakes me up and says he's not doing well. So, I call, and I didn't get any signals from anyone, and I'm not trying to criticize the monitoring or something. I just went there, and he was almost in shock. So, these are little intuition things.

Dr. Krishna Bhatta

When it comes to the flame, we don't pay attention to we are born with a different size of flame. So, some people are born, they won’t stress out, they won't burn out. They don't know what that is. They don't need to do meditation to get there. Because they're already at a different level. But we don't work on the flame. And the whole emphasis that I'm trying to bring is that you should work in at it because you can be better. You need to develop all three elements.

Dr. Krishna Bhatta  18:34

Becoming more aware, you are there any way you can be more closer to it. So how would you say increase the size of the flame? But basically, you're just being more aware of your inner strength. And the more aware you become, it's amazing how many new doors start opening.

In this episode of The Healers Café, Dr. Manon Bolliger, ND, chats with Jodi Cohen, bestselling author, award-winning journalist, functional practitioner and founder of Vibrant Blue Oils.

For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/jodi-cohen

Highlights from today's episode include:

Jodi Cohen

You've been really high cortisol for a really long time, which causes systemic inflammation, I bet your gut is toast. So, nothing you're ingesting is actually getting assimilated, but oils can go through the skin, they can get into the brain through the nasal passageways. This might help.

Jodi Cohen  09:34

I think that once upon a time, food was enough, like probably when I was a child in the 80s. But I think there are so many factors that kind of interfere with our body's ability to drop into parasympathetic to fall restfully asleep. And I think that we're being so bombarded with toxins, that it's really hard for our lymphatic system and drainage pathways to keep up so I feel like I 100% agree that when the body is in balance, it heals itself. I just think that a little bit more support is needed to get the body in balance. And that's where I feel that oils can play a really powerful role in tandem with nutrition.

Jodi Cohen

So, if you're having an anxiety attack or panic attack, that is the right hemisphere, the numerating hemisphere, that's overactive, specifically the forehead area, the frontal lobe executive function. So, the best way to kind of unravel an anxiety attack is to stimulate the left forehead the left frontal lobe, and the easiest way to do that is to smell anything.

In this episode of The Healers Café, Dr. Manon Bolliger, ND, chats with Dr Debi Silber, Founder and CEO, The PBT (Post Betrayal Transformation) Institute

For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/dr-debi-silber

Highlights from today's episode include:

Dr. Debi Silber

But we've all heard Time heals all wounds. And there's a question on the quiz that reads, is there anything else you'd like to share? And people are sharing things like, my betrayal happened 40 years ago, I can still feel the hate. My betrayal happened 35 years ago, I'm still unwilling to trust, my betrayal happened 10 years ago, it feels like it happened yesterday. So that saying of Time heals all wounds, I have the proof that's not true.

Dr. Debi Silber

Betrayal attacks the entire self and the whole self has to be rebuilt. Confidence, a sense of belonging, rejection, worthiness, trust. So when that's all rebuilt, it didn't kind of qualify as post-traumatic growth. It was really Post Traumatic Growth plus rebuilding of the self. So I've coined a new term post betrayal transformation. So when you have fully healed from betrayal, that's the state you're in.

Dr. Debi Silber

So most people find themselves in this perpetual holding pattern, which is stage three. That's where most people land and stay, if you're willing to let go of your story and all the benefits you get, and all of that you can move to stage four. Stage four is finding and adjusting to a new normal. Here's where you accept, I cannot change this scenario, this situation, but I can control the meaning I make, what I do with it, all of it.

About Dr. Debi Silber

Dr. Debi Silber is the founder of the Post Betrayal Transformation Institute and is a holistic psychologist, a health, mindset and personal development expert, the author of the #1 bestselling book: The Unshakable Woman: 4 Steps to Rebuilding Your Body, Mind and Life After a Life Crisis and her newest book: Trust Again. Her recent PhD study on how we experience betrayal made 3 ground-breaking discoveries that changes how long it takes to heal. In addition to being on FOX, CBS, The Dr. Oz Show, TED; and more, she’s an award-winning speaker, coach and author dedicated to helping people move past their betrayals as well as any other blocks preventing them from the health, work, finances, relationships, confidence and happiness they want most.

Core purpose / passion: I believe betrayal is one of the most painful of the human experiences. I vowed that if I were able to heal, help as many other people as I can do the same. It’s been the greatest thrill to see people broken hearted, depressed, sick, sad and stuck and watch them transform on every level.

In this episode of The Healers Café, Dr. Manon Bolliger, ND, chats with Dr. Ali Lankerani, The Parent Whisperer, is internationally published & best-selling author, twice-voted as one of America’s Top Doctors, hosts the TV channel Role Model Maker, has additional training in Chiropractic Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture .

For the transcript and full story go to: https://www.drmanonbolliger.com/dr-ali-lankerani

Highlights from today's episode include:

Dr. L  Of course, there's difficulty in dealing with children who have learning disabilities. And in that process, you know, their parenting and the parent relationship is strained. The spouse or relationship is strained as far as the approach to how to deal with the situation, finances are strained. So I didn't want the families to go through what I went through, and I want it to be more on the prevention side of things.

Dr. L  05:42

The limitations in practice were number one related to, first of all, how I could practice the scope of practice, what you're allowed to do, what you're allowed to say. You go to school, and after you get your diploma, you would think that you're qualified now to go and help people. And then comes the state and the local legislation, the federal legislation, so you go through those hoops, and then there is insurance. And you have to keep jumping through these hoops, to kind of prove yourself that you're capable and qualified enough to help people.

Dr. L  So the list kind of goes on, and I realized that the best way that I personally could serve was by seeing that light bulb go on in the patient's minds, because once they understood the bigger picture of how their body works, and how they could go ahead and empower themselves and make differences and changes in their lives, then they naturally and automatically would go and seek the right solutions for themselves instead of me having to drag them along and convince everybody else along the way.
